Jay M. Feinman

American University, B.A., summa cum laude; University of Chicago, J.D., cum laude; Order of the Coif. Distinguished Professor of Law at Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, one of the few faculty members to hold that high rank statewide, and former Associate Dean and Acting Dean. He also is one of the core faculty of Rutgers’ new Center for Risk and Responsibility. He served as a Comment Editor of the UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO LAW REVIEW, and taught at Northwestern University, the University of Miami School of Law, Karl Francis University (in Austria), and Soochow University (in Taiwan), and practiced with Dechert Price & Rhoads in Philadelphia. Among his professional activities, Feinman has served as Chair of the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Section on Contracts and Section on Teaching Methods. He is a member of The American Law Institute (ALI).

Feinman’s research and teaching focus on Contracts, Insurance, Professional Liability, Torts, and Business Torts.
